The cell elements are made of PEEK. It well fits aqueous and organic solvent electrolyte requirements. In 2-electrode setup, the counter electrode is placed in the socket close to the working electrode while the remaining socket is plugged. When 3-electrode setup is required, the reference electrode is placed close to the measured sample to limit the effect of electrolyte resistance, while the counter electrode occupies the remaining socket. Various auxiliary electrodes are suitable for this cell including metal wire, gauze and foil electrodes as well as non-metal electrodes.
