The cell consists of two individual compartments: the liquid flow chamber and the gas chamber, which are placed on opposing faces of a GDE. Both compartments are held in place by magnetic\/screw mount, providing a leakage-free O-Ring seal. The liquid chamber can be filled with an electrolyte using a syringe or an electrolyte can continuously flow through it using an external reservoir and peristaltic pump (both not included). The dry chamber is gas-tight enabling continuous flow of a gas carrier and evacuation of the gas products for sampling using standard analytical instruments such as a residual gas analyzer. Both compartments are made of a polyether ether ketone (PEEK) material. It well fits aqueous (EPDM O-Rings) and organic solvent (FFKM O-Rings) electrolyte requirements.
