620 PEM/AEM Electrolyzer Test System

Scribner

The 620 Electrolyzer Test System (ETS) is a fully integrated bench-top instrument engineered for comprehensive testing of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM), Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM), and Alkaline water electrolysis.

This state-of-the-art system provides precise evaluation and detailed characterization of PEM and AEM electrolysis performance, operating with Deionized (DI) water or Alkaline (KOH) solutions, enabling advanced research and development applications.

Our 2nd generation advancements expands automated features to support your long-term testing.

  • Integrated 100A Power Supply with EIS & HFR — Seamlessly combine electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and high-frequency resistance (HFR) for comprehensive insights.

  • Half Cell (R1/R2) Measurements in Power Supply Mode — Get accurate data effortlessly. Our system simplifies half-cell measurements.

  • Dual Channel Mass-Flow Controller (MFC) — Say goodbye to manual rotameters! Our MFC ensures precise gas flow control, safety interventions, and pressurized testing.

  • Streamlined Cell Cabling —We’ve redesigned the front panel for a simpler, more efficient cabling arrangement. Less hassle, more productivity.

  • Single USB Connection — Connect effortlessly. One cable, multiple possibilities.

  • Automated Tank Leveling & KOH Concentration Balancing — Unattended operation for electrolyte experiments is now a reality. Let our system handle the details.

  • KOH Conductivity Probes —Monitor KOH levels inside the feed tanks via front panel displays and collect data in our FlowCell software.

  • Self-Draining Condensation Tanks — Boost automation and reduce maintenance. No more manual draining.

  • Constant voltage or current testing

  • Step/stair profiles

  • Cyclic and linear scan routines

Custom test protocols tailored for PEM, AEM, or alkaline electrolyzer characterization

Adds extra corrosion resistance to the feed stock tanks by coating 316SS in durable Teflon™.

Adds Cleaned for Oxygen Service tubing and fittings on the oxygen side of the product flow path.

Ensure No Organic Contaminates which can act as fuels in oxygen rich environments.

Reduce 96% of Ferrous Surface Area in the flow path of electrolyte from feed stock tank to cell fixture and back into feed stock tank.

Replaces 316SS with inconel and PTFE Tubing and Fittings for superior corrosion resistance and limited Iron leaching.
