60% Wt Platinum Ruthenium on Vulcan XC-72R (1:1 Atomic ratio)

60% Platinum Ruthenium on Vulcan XC 72R (Carbon) is most commonly used as the catalyst for methanol oxidation in Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC).  This catalyst has a standard 1:1 atomic ratio.

Platinum Ruthenium (PtRu) carbon supported alloy electrocatalysts have shown improved tolerance to CO contaminated hydrogen fuel streams as compared to Platinum (Pt) at the anode of low temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC).
